Whenever you practice you should either be playing with a drumbeat, backing track or a metronome if you want to get used to playing in time.

Left to your own devices you will speed up and slow down slightly during the coarse of your practice if you dont play to a steady beat.

You can also track your progress, keeping a note of how fast you can play scales-runs-pieces (clearly, its not all about speed!) can help you chart your progress! use a metronome!

Slow notes lets you slow down any music file without changing the pitch!

This means you can take a song you are learning and slow it right down, hear exactly what the chords are or hear that tricky bit in the solo thats too slippery to get get your ears around at normal speed.

You can also use it for your backing tracks, speeding them up as you get quicker, slowing them down to make them easier or changing the pitch to put them in a different key.

This is such a geat find and a fab little piece of software.

It looks a lot like itunes (runs faster!) and basically streams songs from a massive online database.

Its all legal as well....... how?

Every 30 mins (ish) you get a 30 second advert, thats it.

They limit the number of new members so sign up free while you can!
